ATI® ICP Element Chromium

Highly pure solution to increase the individual element chromium in reef aquariums. Ideal for compensating element deficiencies and for daily element supply.

Dosage instructions:

  • 1ml per 100 liters (26 gal) increases the chromium content by 1µg/l
  • Increase chromium by a maximum of 0.5µg/l (0.5ml/100l or 0.5ml/26 gal) per day
  • The bottle contains 15,000µg of chromium

Symptoms of low chromium levels:

  • Possibly lower activity of certain enzymes in invertebrates
  • Theoretically reduced micronutrient availability for bacteria in biofilms
  • So far, no clearly documented symptoms of low chromium levels are known

Possible causes of low chromium content:

  • Low content in the salt mix
  • No targeted compensation via trace element solutions
  • Permanent removal by skimming in case of microbial binding

ATI® ICP Element Cobalt

Highly pure solution to increase the individual element cobalt in reef aquariums. Ideal for compensating element deficiencies and for daily element supply.

Dosage instructions:

  • 1ml per 100 liters (26 gal) increases the cobalt content by 4µg/l
  • Increase cobalt by a maximum of 0.4µg/l (0.1ml/100l or 0.1ml/26 gal) per day
  • The bottle contains 60,000µg of cobalt

Symptoms of low cobalt levels:

  • Thinner tissue, slower coral growth
  • Paler coloration due to less efficient photosynthesis
  • Reduced fish vitality: Cobalt plays a role in the formation of red blood cells via Co-containing vitamin B12

Possible causes of low cobalt content:

  • Too little content in salt mix and insufficient trace element supply

ATI® ICP Element Iron

Highly pure solution to increase the individual element iron in reef aquariums. Ideal for compensating element deficiencies and for daily element supply.

Dosage instructions:

  • 1ml per 100 liters (26 gal) increases the iron content by 4µg/l
  • Increase iron by a maximum of 4µg/l (1ml/100l or 1ml/26 gal) per day
  • The bottle contains 60,000µg of iron

Symptoms of low iron levels:

  • Iron deficiency impairs photosynthesis performance, resulting in lower color depth and reduced growth of corals
  • Growth stop of macroalgae (e.g. Chaetomorpha) in the refugium
  • Iron deficiency weakens enzymes and cellular metabolic processes

Causes of low iron levels:

  • High consumption, especially in tanks with strong LED light and high SPS or macroalgae load
  • No targeted supply via trace element systems
  • Many supply systems do not contain iron
  • Iron precipitates quickly in the aquarium even at low consumption

ATI® ICP Element Copper

Highly pure solution to increase the individual element copper in reef aquariums. Ideal for compensating element deficiencies and for daily element supply.

Dosage instructions:

  • 1ml per 100 liters (26 gal) increases the copper content by 1µg/l

  • The bottle contains 15,000µg of copper

Symptoms of low copper levels:

  • Copper is a cofactor in enzymes, for example, for iron utilization in fish or in calcium metabolism. However, no confirmed symptoms of copper deficiency are known.

Causes of low copper content:

  • Due to its toxicity, a low copper content is the normal condition in reef aquariums – ideally, copper should only be detectable in very low concentrations

ATI® ICP Element Lithium

Highly pure solution to increase the individual element lithium in reef aquariums. Ideal for compensating element deficiencies and for daily element supply.

Dosage instructions:

  • 1ml per 100 liters (26 gal) increases the lithium content by 15µg/l

  • The bottle contains 225,000µg of lithium

Symptoms of low lithium levels:

  • No proven symptoms are known. However, it is assumed that it is still relevant, as lithium is very light and therefore, despite low concentrations, there are a large number of lithium ions in salt water.
  • Reduced enzyme activity, for example, is conceivable.

Causes of low lithium content:

  • Use of low-lithium salt mix
  • Use of zeolite or activated carbon

Causes of low molybdenum content:

  • Consumption by bacterial processes (e.g. denitrification)
  • Low amounts in salt mix used
  • Adsorption by zeolite or GFO
  • No targeted redosing

  • The bottle contains 7,500µg of selenium

Symptoms of low selenium levels:

  • Selenium proteins protect corals from oxidative stress at high light levels. If selenium levels are too low, oxidative protection is lost (reduced light tolerance)

Causes of low selenium levels:

  • Low amounts in the salt mix or trace element mixtures used. Selenium is often not used due to its low concentration
